I’m not a fan of the whole one character keeping a secret from another character for plot convenience. But I will say for the record that Shion telling Senri about her experience doesn’t affect the plot at all.

The main reason I made Senri and Shion twins was because I was tired of seeing anime that have a boy/girl twin and another character is like “You look exactly alike!” That’s not how boy/girl twins work.
I did look it up though and found it is possible for a boy/girl identical twin combo, but it’s extremely rare and the female would have Turner Syndrome.
